Thanks to the hard work of local people and businesses last year

the 'Buy Your Bulb' campaign, organised in association with Morrisons Supermarket

and The Surrey Mirror as part of the Reigate Business Guild's 'Light Up Reigate' fundraiser

and sponsored and managed by kind permission of the Redhill and Reigate Guide

raised over half the overall total reached of £27,500.

As a result Reigate received a new set of LED based energy efficient Christmas Lights.

Nearly 5,000 £1 cards were purchased, and hundreds of larger donations received.

More than 1200 dedications were made online, which were then displayed in the Tunnel Road,

when the town's lights were switched-on, on Saturday 4th December 2010.

This year the switch-on will be on Saturday 3rd December 2011,

as part of the Reigate Christmas Winter Fayre.
